parent weekend at BYU

This past weekend was parent weekend at BYU and we had fun touring the campus and running in the family 5 K (alum run) and loading up on lots of free t-shirts. BYU won their game against Wyoming which was especially fun--even though we had to endure some rain. This is a video of the most interesting tour--into the bell tower--100 steps up, up, up. Amazing--I even had a chance to play it. This was live--for all of provo to hear :) Our tour guide was an amazing organist (a grad student in music).

PHILADELPHIA--city of brotherly love!

PHILLY!! It's been 22 years but things still look the same--and oh so familiar. We really enjoyed the brush up on our history too :) It's amazing how much of the city was familiar to Clark (especially 3 bears park) even though we only lived there till he was 5.--even the same books in the med school library ha! (time to update, I think...)

The BIG APPLE:
the term came from the stable boys who followed the horses to the small quarter-mile tracks in New Orleans and all over the East and the Middle West.

They were so glad now to come to New York, where the big money was. The city was so huge to them and so full of opportunity that they called it the ‘Big Apple.’”

Amy and Ellie and James did baptisms while we attended the wedding of my cousin Wayne in the Manti temple. What a beautiful ceremony!!! to see a really fun video of their big day go HERE , it's awesome!!
“Our joy now and forever is inextricably tied to our capacity to love.”
John H. Groberg

“Married people should be best friends; no relationship on earth needs friendship as much as marriage…” Marion D. Hanks

“True marriage is based on happiness . . . that comes from giving, serving, sharing, sacrificing, and selflessness.” Spencer W. Kimball

and then Kalai sang at their reception in park city--how cool is that!? (yes, that is kalai sitting at the guitar)
