Musings on Massachusetts: Our trip to see Nate, Mindy, and Holden

The Grove across the street from Nate and Mindy's house

Gpa getting Holden to sleep in the grove

good job bampa

Pictures do not do this justice.  The autumn color was spectacular!!

Helping dad with his tools (a favorite pastime) while he put together Holden's new slide. It's got to be level, you know...

visiting the ecotarium

Holden loves trains

jumping in the leaves--a favorite Gill tradition

Eating ice cream (another Gill favorite). N, M&H have a wonderful shop right by their house--Christopher's (named for the owner's son)

this little man knows how to play soccer!--no, really!!

visiting Clark University campus with Nate

tidy desk...

trying to imagine what it would be like to be a student again...oh the joy

temple time

the flash was too bright (or the night was too dark)

this is when I tresspassed--oops! it was just too beautiful to pass by!

visiting the pumpkin patch

one of the places I was really excited to visit was Central Park where the book,  Make Way for Ducklings is set

The book has always been a Gill favorite and we loved seeing the pond, statues, green lawn. We missed the swan boats (they were put  away for the season.) We even saw the duck's "home." They  made a good one.

quack quack

Notice the ducks "making their way" up the ramp to their home?

this was on the historical walking tour

couldn't miss this place, yum!

but we all agreed, Mindy's homemade apple pie was the best
