baby Holden has scripture study

I came home yesterday to this scene: Mommy Mindy reading scriptures with Baby Holden! You can see his favorites were the pictures of Jesus. But I believe they made it through the first half of the Old Testament too

BOO  !

time for warm jammies!

It's Autumn!

This was my afternoon run today.  I live in the most beautiful place! It is an inspiration just to go outside each day. The pictures--just taken from my phone--don't capture near the beauty that was all around me today.  This has always been my favorite season.  The smells and sounds and moisture (I ran in the rain) can't possibly be captured. It was pure joy. Absolute heaven for me. I am grateful.
I love how the clouds hang on the rocky mountain tops

squaw peak

The clouds hung around all morning and afternoon

Home again, home again.  This icon has become a wonderful, familiar sight.  I know I am home when I see that Y in all it's whiteness looming right above me

scrub oak--another sight that has come to mean "home"

Missionaries playing soccer in the field--definitely a sign of fall

kokopelli seven

What we love about this sport is the company! This is our 7th year for swimming, biking and running around and in Sand Hollow Reservoir in sunny St Georgeous.  It's been a tradition to meet the Crellins there--it was good to have them back again this year. And We loved competing with Stacie and Jess this year as well. Then relaxing at Gma and Gpas pool after is a real treat. (As is Nielson's frozen custard on St. George Boulevard).  How long will we keep this up? It's always a challenge to improve the previous years' time, place in a new category, or visit with dear friends (Lisa and I will remember this year as the year we talked more than ran haha!) Several of our group made it to the podium.  Amy did two legs of the relay this year, Brian did one, and they came in third place. Colin came in first place in his age division in the olympic distance. And Mindy (and Nate) finished strong 4 months post-partum. (Baby Holden was a terrific spectator with the great grandparents and his new cousin Sienna) It's  a sport we love because it's a family affair, handing out high fives along the way as we pass each other. So, next year? Probably.

TIBURON CALIFORNIA

Tiburon is in Marin County, California. It occupies most of the Tiburon Peninsula, which reaches south into the San Francisco Bay. This is where Clark lives. We visited last weekend. Wow! What a lovely place.
The city's name derives from the Spanish word tiburón, which means "shark". The name was first given to the peninsula on which the city is situated, and probably inspired by the prevalence of locally native leopard sharks in the surrounding waters.  Yikes! We walked along the shoreline trail which was more than breathtaking! A perfect Sunday stroll.  It is a commuter and tourist town, linked by fast ferry services to San Franciso (which we rode last time we visited).
The San Francisco Bay Trail, used by hikers and cyclists, and Richardson Bay Park and Richardson Bay Sanctuary provide excellent opportunities for observing wildlife. He lives in Heaven, we decided!  He walks to work, or can take the ferry to and from the city when he wants to (or when we come to visit).
Downtown Tiburon. The Yacht Club he manages is just around the corner from here
