RING RING....

It's 2:30 in the morning... ya think your kids are all safely tucked in their beds a night...

Not if they are in Provo!  What is it about that place?  Life really starts at 11 p.m.  Have those zoobies not enough time during the day?  Why do they wait till the midnight hour to go to Wendy's for a hamburger?  On a bike.  Which has a bad tire. Without a helmet.

So we get a call (2:30 am) that starts something like this.  "Dad, how do you stop bleeding?"
huh!?  "HOld pressure, Colin,  take your shirt off and hold pressure on it." ( I am freaking out by now.)  Colin would never call with any injury UNLESS it was really BAD. This I know.  He gets the head bleed to stop.  A car stops by  (more zoobies out for a joy ride, what time is it...?) They say they notice blood on the road and does Colin need help.  He calls us when he gets to Utah Valley ER. "has the bleeding stopped?"  Colin tells us it has so Brian says, "well, maybe you won't need stitches then."  Colin:  "Uh..no, dad, pretty sure I am going to need stitches."
Yep...23.
Colin says: "Ya shoulda seen it before it got all sewed up."

THE ANIMAL KINGDOM CONTINUES by Joshua Gill

THE BEAR (which still has not been caught), now has a few friends staking their claim at the Gill residence.

The Wild, Wild, West, also known as Piedmont Drive...
Say hello to Maurice Raphael III. The Ghost Coon. Josh and Jason totally used their cooning prowess to tree this little sucker. Never been done before. Hence the name Ghost Coon. Didn't know what to do after that though...

Then on Sunday Josh and Amy trapped this friend who has been a resident in our front bush for a couple of years.  We took the bush out this winter which left him homeless.  Now he  lives in our neighbors cooler.  (I don't think Mrs. Mitchel knows this yet)

HERE'S WHAT'S UP IN OUR NECK OF THE WOODS...

While at home today, I got two reverse 911 calls with the following message:

Emergency message:

A bear has been seen in the area. At this time it is not threatening. Please bring your pets and children inside and stay inside your home. The Division of Wildlife is responding now and the Douglas County Deputies are currently following the bear.

So, i look outside and the school playing fields are full of children...hmmm.  Next, we get a tx message from someone in our stake.  The bear was in their yard!!!   That was at  2 in the afternoon.  Later, in the evening, Brian and our Stake President were on stake visits and saw all the news/radio stations  posted to catch the "action"  as the divisiont of wildlife tried to capture the bear.  As Brian and President Walker walked up to the scene, they overheard someone in the crowd say,

"Look, here comes the FBI"

Haha! Hahahahahaha.  We all had a good laugh at that.  It is now 9:21 p.m. and they still have not caught the bear. Oh well, we are all safely tucked into our beds while the douglas county deputies follow the bear....

here he is in the driveway of one of my students!

EYE of the beholder...
Amy visits the eye doctor...Time for glasses?  Well, we thought so, but as it turns out, she is twenty/twenty. (aka perfect)  The doc said, "bullet proof."  Dad, on the other, hand... yep! Age has finally caught up.  He is getting BIFOCALS for mom's birthday!!  Can you do surgery with bifocals?  I suppose that is the point.

Womens' conference only has a little bit to do with the actual conference.  We go every year for a few other reasons than just the spiritual food...
